Neh.
So I’m back. I was gone for about six months, bored of writing, bored of designing, pretty much bored of everything. A lot of things have changed in my absence, some for the better and some for the worse. And some things even stayed the same, as they sometimes do. A short list of shit that’s changed:
- I started drinking around mid-July. I was never exactly adamant against it, the whole scene had just never occurred to me. I started hanging out with old friends again and it came with the territory. Say what you will- I’m a much more social person now, I have a lot more friends than I did, and I’m generally a happier person now.
- I smoke cigarettes. Not a great habit, never start it. Your clothes stink, your teeth turn yellow, you get lung cancer, it eats up all your money, your wife will leave you, your parents will disown you, nobody will ever love you, and eventually you’ll turn gay. Dependency on something that gives you cancer really sucks, and quittin’ is a real drag.
- I’m a senior. This one is a pretty much good/bad scenario.. it’s awesome that I’m a senior and going off to college, but I’m plagued with what they call ’senioritis’- complete lack of function. Seriously, I’m more often at home than I am at school, and when I am at school I go to VERY few classes. Due to this I can’t park in the senior parking lot (which means I can’t pay them fifteen bucks, not that it matters because I have no car) and I may not be able to go to prom/walk at graduation/etc. Not that these things matter, I wasn’t planning on any of them anyway.
- I got into college. Holy Christ! I applied to SUNY Albany, Oswego, and Oneonta. I got accepted into Albany and Oswego and deferred from Oneonta- that’s right, Albany accepted me and motherfucking STONEONTA deferred me. I love the logic in that one- I’m pretty sure the admissions director got a swift kick to the crotch for it. The funny thing about Albany was that after I read my letter and told my mom, she pretty much kicked me out of the house because she was pissed off about something I did earlier. Puts a real damper on your day, let me tell you.
- I have a driver’s license. Be afraid.
- I’m getting my feet wet in coding again- not web design this time, but Visual Basic, C++, et cetera.
- I still don’t like you, Paris Hilton, mass media, economics, flat women, and a lot of other stuff.
Some other things have changed too, but I’m pretty fuckin’ tired and it’s like 2 AM anyway, I should be asleep. I have to wake up at 6 for school and I’m going out tomorow night to see the World/Inferno Friendship Society at the Bowery Ballroom, so I’m gonna need to rest up so I can arrive nice and shitfaced at the show. Who knows if I’m going to keep writing again? In fact, who gives a shit? I have no readers anyway. God hates me.
’til then,
t
